Biography

AlLisia “Li” Dawkins is a PhD Student in the Instructional Technology & Learning Sciences department at Utah State University. She is a native of the Southside of Chicago, IL and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Northeastern Illinois University. Using her STEM background to influence her positionality as a now practicing qualitative researcher, her research areas of interest include African American STEM identity development, influences and impacts of informal STEM learning environments on STEM identity development, and the impacts of culturally-responsive pedagogy interventions within traditional and formal school contexts.
