Logan Haviland

College of Agriculture and Applied Sciences

Applied Economics

Logan grew up in Layton, Utah, as the youngest of four kids. Born to Aggie Alumni, Logan is a long-time Aggie fan. He graduated from Davis High School and served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints in California. Upon returning, he started school at Utah State University and has never looked back. He graduated with double bachelors’ degrees in agribusiness and agricultural systems technology with minors in economics and Spanish in 2021. He received his master’s degree in applied economics in early 2023 and began his Ph.D. in economics that fall. While working at Anderson’s Seed and Garden, he met his wife, Kae. They were married in 2018 and have one son, Luke, who is 10 months old. Logan loves learning, reading, gardening, building, playing games, and spending time with family, especially camping. He has deeply appreciated the opportunity to help other Aggies in their learning experiences at Utah State and enjoys giving back to the program he’s loved in any way he can.
