Zsolt Ugray is the Graduate Director and an Associate Professor in the Data Analytics and Information Systems Department of the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University. He teaches undergraduate and graduate students in Data Analytics and MIS to both traditional and professional business students. He has taught in the undergraduate, MMIS, MBA, and MDATA programs since 2003, in face-to-face, broadcast, and online environments. He received the Huntsman School’s Undergraduate Teaching Fellow Mentor Award along with his department’s Teacher of the Year award (in 2009 and 2018) His Ph.D. is in Management Science from The University of Texas at Austin. Before joining the Huntsman School at USU, he spent 2 years at the University of California – Riverside as a Visiting Professor. Prior to joining academia he worked as a Senior Research and Development Engineer in the semiconductor industry for 6 years. His research interests are focused on developing prescriptive analytics algorithms and the managerial implications of the use of analytics. His publications appeared in journals such as Informs Journal on Computing, Optimization Methods and Software, Review of Business Information Systems, Journal of Information Technology Cases and Applications, Interacting with Computers, and he presented at numerous national and international conferences.
