Western Regional Graduate Program

Description

The Western Regional Graduate Program allows residents of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wyoming and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands to maintain their home state residency and pay resident tuition for approved programs. Time spent on the WRGP waiver does not count as 12 month requirement for Utah residency

To be eligible for the WRGP waiver you must fulfill all of the requirements:

  • Be enrolled in an approved program.
  • If you’re a new student, meet all graduate school and program entrance requirements (Please note: If an entrance requirement is waived for admissions, you may be ineligible for this waiver).
  • If you’re a returning student, be in good standing (i.e., not on academic probation).

If you have questions about your eligibility for tuition awards or waivers, contact your department or program.
