Big Blue's Bug Bounty is an online event spanning the entirety of Grad Week at USU for students across all campuses. Big Blue has been searching across all of the Grad School Website and Resource Pages to find anything that isn't working correctly. Participants earn points by submitting links to his location if they find him on any of the sites. Bonus points are given for reporting broken pages with detailed explanations. The top three participants win prizes like gift cards, USU swag, or semester essentials.
Participation Rules and Details
Objective
Participants will search for Big Blue hidden across the USU Graduate School website and have the opportunity to submit website bugs and usability improvements to earn points.
Point Breakdown
- Big Blue Locations: Each valid location of Big Blue is worth 1 point (total number of Big Blues is undisclosed).
- Usability Improvements: Meaningful suggestions for improving webpage usability are worth 1 point each, with a maximum of 5 entries per participant.
- Website Bugs: Bug/Error submissions are worth 5 points each, with unlimited entries allowed.
- Form Submissions: Each valid form submission earns an additional 5 points.
Participation Rules
- Participants must submit a valid form through the designated submission process to earn points.
- After the first form submission, participants may continue submitting forms to report bugs or errors; however, additional points will only be awarded for valid form submissions (5 points each) and bugs/errors found (5 points per bug/error).
- Big Blue icons on this event’s webpage do not count toward the scavenger hunt.

General Guidelines
- Submissions must include accurate links and detailed descriptions of Big Blue locations, bugs, or usability improvements.
- Participants can submit as many times as they wish, adhering to the rules for earning additional points.
Prizes
The top three participants with the highest points will win prizes, including gift cards, USU swag, or semester essentials.
