GPC Task Reassignment Form

GPCs and Department Heads should utilize this form to easily reassign GPC tasks to an incoming GPC or a temporary GPC. This form will also update the GPC Directory page. This form takes 30 seconds or less to complete.

Please note the following: 

  • Unassigned GPC Tasks: GPC tasks that have been left without assignment will be automatically assigned to the department head of the GPC for reassignment. The process for Department Heads to reassign the task is quick and easy.
  • Access Location for Department Heads: Department heads will require the link above to access the form.
  • Access Location for GPCs: Graduate Program Coordinators (GPCs) can locate the form under the GPC section in ServiceNow.
  • Eligibility: The form is available exclusively to Department Heads and individuals in the Graduate Program Coordinators group.
  • Audience: The form is available exclusively to Department Heads (via the direct link) and individuals in the Graduate Program Coordinators (GPC) group.
  • Access Restrictions: 
  • Department Heads and GPCs can only make changes to the department they oversee.
  • The dropdown menu is filtered to display only their designated department.
  • Immediate Effect: Changes will take effect immediately after the form is submitted.
  • No Cancellation: Once the form is submitted, it cannot be canceled because the process is fully automated.
  • Stopping Point: The only exception is if the Department Head does not submit the form. In this case, the process will stop at the Department Head approval stage.
  • New Integration—separate from the GPC assignment form: When a GPC’s department is changed or removed, the department head overseeing the program will automatically become the new GPC.

Form Submission Changes: 

  • Changes submitted via the form take effect immediately, updating both the table and group directly. The online directory will also be updated in a more timely and accurate manner. 

New Integration—separate from the GPC assignment form: 

  • When a GPC’s department is changed or removed, the department head overseeing the program will automatically become the new GPC.

Communication Timeline: 

  • An email notification for department heads will be triggered starting August 2025, ahead of the Fall 2025 semester to verify the GPC Directory is current.
