Macy Gustavus
Coordinator of Aquatics and Safety | Campus Recreation
Macy Gustavus is the Coordinator of Aquatics and Safety with USU Campus Recreation. In 2020, she earned a B.S. degree in Environmental Science with a Specialization in Health and Safety from Oakland University in Southeast Michigan. Shortly after, she relocated across the country to become a Utah State Aggie and pursue an M.S. in Watershed Sciences, where her research focused on microplastics in the Logan River. Following her graduate studies, she participated in a project investigating microplastics and trash in backcountry environments while hiking the Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada. Today, Macy blends her passion for recreation and academia by fostering a welcoming environment at the HPER Pools for USU students, student staff, and the broader campus community.
