Tyler J. Brough

Dr. Tyler J. Brough is an Associate Professor in the Department of Data Analytics & Information Systems and Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Economics & Finance in the Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University. He earned a PhD in Finance from the University of Arizona in 2010, an MS in Finance at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2004, and a BS in Economics at Brigham Young University in 2000. He teaches courses in data analytics, machine learning, computational finance, and financial econometrics. He is the Academic Director of the Analytics Solutions Center (ASC). In the ASC, faculty-lead teams of student data analysts are paid to engage in real-world consulting projects in data science, machine learning, and financial analytics. Dr. Brough conducts research in decision making under uncertainty, computational finance, and financial econometrics. Through his research, he is helping to found the nascent field of computational statistical catallactics.
