This workshop is a discussion of mentorship guided by Drs. Domenech Rodríguez and Sims. It seeks to answer "How do you find a good mentor?", "How can you be a good mentee?" and "How can you be a good mentor?".

    • What are behavioral commitments that you want to make and how are these expressions of your values?
    • How would you describe your mentorship goals?
  • Culture matters
    • How are you and your mentor’s/mentors’ cultural context alike or different? (Think intersectionally: sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, but also skin tone and phenotype) and how do these characteristics enhance or detract from your relationship? 
    • Do not over - or underestimate the impact of culture.
