Christopher Machado is a native of Boise, Idaho. He received his bachelor's degree in music education from Brigham Young University in 2014. While there he studied choral conducting with Dr. Ronald Staheli. He spent four years teaching choir, piano, and music theory at Columbia High School in Nampa, Idaho, before beginning the masters program in choral conducting under the direction of Dr. Craig Jessop at Utah State University.

Chris is an active conductor in Cache Valley, leading the USU Women’s Chorus, The Towne Singers, and Soggiorno Camerata, specializing in early music. He sings professionally with Brevitas and Sound of Ages.

Chris married Sarah Hunsaker in 2010 and they are the parents of four children, Nathaniel, Eva, Lucy, and Michael. Chris loves to cook, and makes delicious food for his family every day. He loves going camping and hiking and coming up with adventures to have with his children. Chris is an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
